A monumental tribute to the Agojie, the all-female warrior regiment of the former Kingdom of Dahomey, this statue features a young female warrior of the Dahomey Amazons in a defiant pose armed for battle. Commissioned to establish a new visual identity for benin, the monument is erecetd to document the legacy of hte only all-female army in modern history.
