One of over 8600 monuments mapped by Save History (Сохраним историю) Belarus. As do many Soviet war monuments, it features a man, woman, and child. According to Save History, the nearby Dovgovo Swamp tract was a Nazi execution site. Victims were brought in by truck or marched under guard from settlements in the Tolochin district and neighboring areas, as well as from the Tolochin prison.
