Monument to Jan Palach. The artwork by American architect John Hejduk, dedicated to the city of Prague and the Czechoslovak people in 1991, was inspired by David Shapiro's poem The Funeral of Jan Palach, which the poet wrote immediately after the actual events in Prague in January 1969.
