Baroness Karen Christentze von Blixen-Finecke sitting on or rather sitting in a heavy wood armchair that contrasts with the thin frame of the author who is sitting with her legs crossed and with a large book open on her lap as if she has just paused reading. The statue is set on a large but low square plinth - rather than a more traditional pedestal - and the distinct red stone with marked striations that forms the edge of the plinth is wasasten from Sweden. (danish architecture and design review)
